One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving dinner is the amount of side dishes on the table! Don’t get me wrong, the main show stopping turkey is amazing, but I love all of the side dishes. I will literally put a little bit of turkey on my plate and I will load up the rest of my plate with a bunch of the side dishes. From potatoes to corn, squash and stuffing, there are hundreds of creamy side dishes that complement a Thanksgiving Turkey! Some families have their own recipes passed down through generations while others like myself follow directions from the label on a can of green beans. With all of the recipes and resources now available on the internet, it’s not hard to find a great recipe to share at the Thanksgiving table.
I am so excited to have partnered with BabbleBoxx to highlight some of the products that I will be incorporating into my Thanksgiving meal this year including: Bridgford Foods Frozen Dinner Rolls, 4C Breadcrumbs & Parmesan Cheese, I Cook in Color Book by Asha Gomez, Tribe Hummus, The Baconer Bacon, So if you’re like me and you’re looking for new side dish recipes for your Thanksgiving table you’re going to LOVE these ideas!
Parkerhouse Style Rolls Dough from Bridgford® :
I am so fond of fresh breads/rolls, just-out-of-the-oven kind of fresh! Dinner rolls are an essential element of the holiday feast, perfect for mopping sauces, nibbling between courses and satisfying even picky eaters.
Making rolls from scratch is a time-consuming task, so the challenge is to find a ready-made roll that pleases everyone. Some people prefer buttery, flaky rolls. Some favor sweet, squishy-soft buns. And others crave a chewy, salty bite made from whole grains and topped with seeds or laced with garlic. Let me tell you about these awesome Parkerhouse Style Rolls from Bridgford. Bridgford® Parkerhouse Style Rolls Dough includes 24, 1-ounce yeast roll dough pieces in a bag. Bake all 24 to serve a large group for holidays like Thanksgiving, or you can bake as many as desired. You can add your favorite toppings or flavors to your bread to make it savory or even sweet. Parkerhouse Rolls are Non-GMO, contain no preservatives, and are made with pure cane sugar. I was extremely impressed with how easy it was to make them and how delicious they tasted. I made them by following the instructions on the back of the packaging and dusted them with a coating of butter fresh out of the oven. You can find them in the freezer aisle and they will pair perfectly with your Turkey Day menu. The small balls of frozen dough bake up into rolls with delicate texture and freshness; it saves me time and the hassle of making bread from scratch.

4C Homestyle Parmesan Cheese & 4C Seasoned Breadcrumbs:
This year I wanted to make some sides/appetizers that would be great for those who might not be huge fans of the main course (turkey). With that in mind, I thought crispy chicken wings would be the perfect finger food to serve. For my wings I used 4C Seasoned Breadcrumbs and baked them in the oven (you can also use the air fryer if you prefer). After they were done baking I sprinkled the 4C Homestyle Parmesan Cheese to finish them off.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups 4C bread crumbs
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
3 lbs of chicken wing parts (drumettes and wingettes)
Preparation:
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the 4C bread crumbs, onion powder, basil, garlic salt and paprika.
In a small bowl, whisk egg and water. Dip wings in egg, then place in bag and shake to coat. Place on a greased 15 x 10″ baking pan. Bake at 425° for 30-35 minutes or until juices run clear, turning once (it’s important to flip each piece of chicken over half way through cooking). Once out of the oven sprinkle the 4C Homestyle Parmesan Cheese – 100% Cheese: no additives, no preservatives, no cellulose, no fillers, only cheese. It is delicious, nutty with great texture and not only makes for a great topping, but also an overall better presentation. Using the 4C Breadcrumbs and adds crunch and texture to your favorite foods.
Speaking of Thanksgiving recipes, I recommend expanding your recipe collection with dishes that focus on cross-cultural flavors, rainbows of vegetables, gem-toned desserts, and spice-forward twists from the author of the critically acclaimed cookbook My Two Souths.Best known for her easy mix of cooking traditions from the American South and her homeland of Kerala in Southern India, Chef Asha Gomez continues to evolve her unique cooking style.
In this next vibrant cookbook, I Cook in Color, Asha embraces dishes from around the globe, celebrating international flavor profiles and the melding of culinary traditions that reflect both her cherished memories of her mother’s Kerala kitchen, as well as her extraordinary travel experiences. I loved gaining inspiration for my Thanksgiving meal by perusing this cook book. This book, I Cook in Color, combines Asha’s warm tone and clear direction (and tips!) with striking, mouth-watering photographs of the fusion-fascinating dishes.
Dark Chocolate Hummus and Pumpkin Pie Hummus from Tribe Hummus :
I am such a big fan of dessert dips and I couldn’t wait to try the Chocolate Hummus and Pumpkin Pie Hummus for the holidays. The Pumpkin Pie dip is my new holiday favorite. This spectacular seasonal blend is identical to a pumpkin pie, in a tub. The Dark Chocolate hummus is a huge hit in my household as well, it pairs perfectly with strawberries or cakes. Take it to all your family gatherings and watch as your loved ones move from disbelief to awe at this (chickpea-based!) dessert that is bursting with flavor. Amazing combinations for enjoyment include dipping with graham crackers, pretzels, apples and more. You can even fill a graham cracker crust with this dip, freeze for twenty minutes and dig in. I guarantee you won’t know the difference.
Tribe Pumpkin Pie Hummus – Sweet Pumpkin with cinnamon and other fall spices – a true seasonal delight! Goes great as a dip with graham crackers and pretzels but it’s so good you can even eat it with a spoon or use it as filling for Pumpkin pie or cupcakes. This is proof that Pumpkin has no boundaries when it comes to
fall.
Tribe Dark Chocolate Hummus – a smooth blend of chickpeas and cocoa. Part healthy, part dessert. Great as a dip with fruit like strawberries or bananas or with snacks like pretzels and graham crackers. Also great as a spread like on toast or pancakes instead of Nutella. Perfect for dessert recipes like s’mores or as a substitute for frosting.
